Free Bikes 4 Kidz would like to give a warm welcome to our 2017 team. Ashley Pethan is our Bike Recipient Coordinator and Catherine Beringer has joined us as our Volunteer Coordinator.
Ashley moved to the Twin Cities in 2010, from a small farm town in Wisconsin, to pursue a degree in architecture at the University of Minnesota. Since then, Minneapolis has stolen her heart, and she’s become involved in outdoor recreation and youth engagement projects throughout the Twin Cities and nationwide. By following her interests in design, nature, and social justice, she was led to Free Bikes 4 Kidz and looks forward to connecting kids to the great world of biking. In her spare time, she loves to paddle on rivers, nordic ski, mountain bike, learn about trees, and cook with new recipes.
Catherine comes to Free Bikes 4 Kidz with a background in volunteer engagement and social work. Her first love was a red Schwinn with a back pedal brake. She spent most of her days as a kid searching for the biggest hill in the neighborhood to coast down. In her spare time, when she is not enjoying the great outdoors, she can be found trying out various donut shops in the Twin Cities and she always appreciates a new recommendation.
