Our Story
In 2008, we gave away 300 bikes out of a garage in Minnesota. As of the end of 2023, over 90,000 bikes have rolled through our warehouse in Minnesota and on to new homes. We know there is more to do and we continue to evolve the work we do here in Minnesota to meet the needs of those who live here.
Mission & Purpose
Free Bikes 4 Kidz MN is a non-profit organization geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. The public donates gently used bikes, we organize thousands of volunteers to clean and refurbish them, and then we give them away to kids in need.
Our Method
Every year 25 million bikes are sold in the US. One-third of those bikes are 20” wheel-size, or smaller. Since kids grow like weeds, over 8 million bikes are outgrown each year.
Our Board of Directors and Staff
Free Bikes 4 Kidz MN is driven by a passionate and invested board of directors and staff.

Our Partners
Though the generous help of key partners like Allina Health, QBP, and Park Tool, FB4K MN has gone far, but we still need support in building the foundation to help every kid ride into a more memorable childhood.
