On October 28th, volunteers across the nation will unite with a common mission, to improve the lives of others. Free Bikes 4 Kids MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY will honor the work of a very special volunteer. For 3 years, Matt Sabin, shop teacher at the Hennepin County Home School, a teen correctional facility in Minnetonka, MN, has kept his troubled students busy by taking used bikes completely apart and rebuilding them for FB4K. Each student also gets to rebuild a bike that they will own when discharged.
Matt’s program has become a part of the school’s year round curriculum, and has changed lives, not only his students, but hundreds of kids who will receive their very first bike. #MDDAY
